With “workforce” in the name, most people can guess that the
Utah Department of Workforce Services has something to do with employment. And of
course we do —one of our main areas of focus is connecting great workers with
great employers. However, the name doesn’t make it obvious that the department also
works with refugees, veterans, affordable housing, homelessness, temporary
assistance for families in need, unemployment insurance, child care and more.
Such a wide range of programs and services can be difficult
to keep track of, so today we launched a video series about the unique
divisions within Workforce Services.
Each short video introduces viewers to the unique services the
division offers to Utahns, and makes it easier to understand everything
Workforce Services does, beyond just workforce.
The first three videos, focusing on the
Eligibility Services, Unemployment Insurance and Workforce Development
divisions, are now available on YouTube. Videos highlighting our other
divisions will be released in the coming weeks.
