Utah's Employment Summary: April 2017


Utah’s nonfarm payroll employment for April 2017 grew by an estimated 3.3 percent, adding 46,700 jobs to the economy since April 2016. Utah’s current employment level registers 1,468,700.


April’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate held steady from March at 3.1 percent. Approximately 49,200 Utahns were unemployed during the month and actively seeking work. The national unemployment rate decreased one-tenth of a percentage point from March to 4.4 percent. More...



Governor Recognizes Veteran Employment Team


Governor Gary R. Herbert presented the Workforce Services Veterans Employment team with the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Leadership at a ceremony at the Capitol today.
