Family Employment Program Transitional Support Services
Family Employment Program Transitional Support Services help customers whose cash assistance closes because of their earnings.
To be eligible for Transitional Cash Assistance, you must be working and earning a wage greater than your family’s unearned income and your increased income must cause your cash assistance grant to close. You must also continue to cooperate with ORS for collection of child support during your transitional support services period.
You may receive two months of additional cash assistance, each equal to a full grant, and a third month equal to 1/2 a grant, based on your household size.
We won’t count your income in calculating the amount of the grant, but you must remain employed and continue with the program requirements.
Transitional Cash Assistance is available for up to three months in a 12-month period.
You may also continue to be eligible for Medical Assistance, Food Stamps, Child Care subsidy, and/or other supportive services.
