SALT LAKE CITY—The State of Utah is proud to announce the
finalists for the 2007 Utah Work/Life Awards. For the ninth consecutive year,
the state will recognize and honor companies that are creating exceptional workplaces
and businesses by effectively addressing employee work/life needs. The awards
will be presented to companies in three categories based on number of employees:
Micro (fewer than 50), Medium (50-500) and Large (over 500). Recognized nationwide
as having a rigorous and detailed evaluation process, competition for Utah’s
original workplace excellence award increases every year and the 2007 Award
is no exception.
“Utah businesses have made such tremendous strides in creating flourishing
cultures and successful workplace practices,” said Lynette Rasmussen,
Director of the Department of Workforce Services’ Office of Work &
Family Life. “Every year this award gets harder and harder to win. This
year, we have multiple newcomers that made it into the finalist round, and we
are excited by the innovative approaches and efforts they are making. The success
of Work/Life Award winning companies shows up in myriad ways, such as improved
productivity, retention, recruitment, marketing and customer satisfaction.”
The Utah Work/Life Awards showcase employer best practices and provide an on-going
community to share wins and challenges within the Utah business community.
