Salt Lake City – The Utah Commission on Marriage has selected
couples to be honored at the 15th annual Utah Celebration of Marriage to be
held on Saturday, February 10 at 3:00 P.M. at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
Couples were nominated in three categories: Gold Medal Marriages, Longest Married
Couples, and Valorous Military Marriages.
Gold Medal Marriages exemplify durability, diligence, and devotion above and
beyond the ordinary.
Longest Married Couples are Utah couples that have been married 70 years or
longer.
Valorous Military Marriages are marriages that, despite thousands of miles of
separation, have thrived and are strengthened.
Please refer to the list of winners attached to this
release. Lt. Governor Gary R. Herbert and Mrs. Jeanette Herbert will present
the awards.
