E Partner Net, a collection and check verification company, and Ron J Noyes, Attorney are great examples of employers who utilize the Department of Workforce Services for many services such as: On the Job Training, WOTC Tax Credit programs, Employer Seminars and Self Directed and Job Orders. They have been able to recruit better employees at a cost savings to them by combining traditional DWS services with online self-directed services. In addition, E Partner Net and Ron J Noyes act as advocates for DWS in the community, telling other businesses about the success they have had in their partnership with our department.

Home Depot in Washington, Utah has been outstanding in its willingness in hiring people who have disabilities. They have demonstrated a commitment to hire employees based on what they see the employee being capable of doing instead of seeing what they cannot do. One example was the hiring of a hearing impaired person, who has been in his particular position longer than any other person. He has worked out well and was able to assist a deaf couple that were purchasing a product in the store and were having difficulty explaining to the clerk what they needed. The hearing impaired person was brought to assist and through the use of sign language was able to help the customers work through the difficulty. It is refreshing that this nationwide store has the courage to hire the disabled and then work with them to make it successful for both the employee and Home Depot.
