Family
Employment Program Transitional Support Services help customers whose cash
assistance closes because of their earnings.
To be
eligible for Transitional Cash Assistance, you must be working at least 30 hours
per week and your increased income must cause your cash assistance grant to
close.
You may
receive two months of additional cash assistance, each equal to a full grant,
and a third month equal to 1/2 a grant, based on your household size.
We won’t
count your income in calculating the amount of the grant, but you must show that
you are working at least 30 hours a week during each of the three
months.
Transitional Cash Assistance is available only once in a 24
month period.
You may also continue to be eligible for Medical Assistance, Food Stamps, Child Care subsidy, and/or other supportive services.
