If you qualify to receive food stamps, you will get them no later than 30 days from the date the office received your application.

If your household has little or no money and needs help right away, you may be able to get food stamps within 7 days.

How and where to apply

Print the application form, complete it, sign it, and turn it in as soon as possible at your local Department of Workforce Services office.  You can also get an application at the office or call and request that one be mailed to you.
