Brain Injury

Brain Injury Porgram helps people who have a brain injury live at home rather than in an institution (like a nursing home).  These customers will get services not generally available to other Medicaid customers, such as supported employment, day treatment programs, behavorial training, and in-home respite care.  Applications are taken through the Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD).

How to Qualify:

  • Your net income (after deductions like health insurance premiums and some shelter expenses are taken out) must not be more than 100% of poverty.  Only your income is counted, not the people you may live with.
  • You must be below the asset limits:
  • 1 person - $2,000
  • Other asset rules apply if you are married.
