1. The Foster Care Medicaid Program covers children who are being cared for through the Department of Human Services (DHS) or for whom a foster care payment is being made by DHS.
2. Custody Medical Care (MI-706) helps children entering foster care to immediately receive health care services. The program covers children while their Medicaid application is being processed, if they do not qualify for Medicaid while in custody, or if the health care services they need are not covered by Medicaid.
