Pregnant Women (PG)
The Pregnant Women Program (PG) covers pregnant women who don't meet the
income limits for the Prenatal Program (PN).
How to Qualify:
Your net income (after deductions like a $90 work
allowance and child care expenses have been taken out) must not be more than the
Pregant Women Program (PG) income
limit.If your income is above the income limit for the
Pregnant Women Program (PG), you can spenddown or "buy" Medicaid coverage by
paying cash or submitting medical bills that bring your income below the income
limit.You may be covered for 60 days after the birth, if you
apply for benefits before the birth of the child.Your child will get Medicaid for the first year under the Postnatal Program
(PN+).
