Technology Dependent Children
The Technology Dependent Children Program helps medically fragile children
remain in their own homes rather than living in an institution (such as a
nursing home). A service plan is developed for the child, including
training for the parents and private duty nursing services (if needed).
How to Qualify:
The child's net income (after deductions like health
insurance premiums and medical bills are taken out) must not be more than 100% of
poverty.
The parent's income and assets are not counted.
Applications are taken through the Division of Family Health
Services.
