The Utah Work/Life Award recognizes and honors companies that are creating exceptional workplaces and businesses by effectively addressing employee work/life needs and striving to create and maintain a culture of equity and opportunity.

Thank you to the 188 nominees for the 2008 Utah Work/Life Award, the most ever. The application period is over and we are now in the process of reviewing and selecting finalists and winners.  The finalists will be announced in mid-May and the winners will be announced in early June.

• The Work/Life Celebration to honor winners and finalists will be held July 16, 2008 in Salt Lake City.

Best Practices Tour: Employer Child Care Options

The Department of Workforce Services, Office of Work & Family Life was pleased
to hold our first Best Practice Tour, October 11, 2007. At this event, participants:

• Toured ARUP's onsite child care center
• Read notes from the tour
