Eastern Region

Michael Hanni is a regional economist for the Department of Workforce Services (DWS). In addition to serving as a labor economist for the state he us responsible for the seven counties comprising eastern Utah: Daggett, Duchesne, Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan, and Uintah.

Michael holds a Masters of Science in Economics from the University of Utah. His research interests include: human capital development, education as an economic development tool, and wage dynamics and performance.
