Educational Opportunities and PELL Grant Scholarships
Federal Pell Grant scholarships are awarded based on financial need and other factors, and covers education and training expenses. Under limited circumstances, you may be able to keep UI (Unemployment Insurance) benefits while attending school. You may be eligible for other educational assistance that may lead to more secure jobs and higher wages. Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCR&R) and ask about the Kids in Care program.

Health Insurance Payment Assistance
ARRA of 2010 provides for premium reductions for health benefits, commonly called COBRA. To learn more, please go to www.dol.gov/ebsa/cobra.html Do you need help paying for your health insurance? Utah’s Premium Partnership for Health Insurance (UPP) may be able to help. Receive up to $150 per person each month to help you cover the cost of your monthly premium. National School Lunch Program
The National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program provide school meals to all children. If you are applying for unemployment compensation your children might be eligible to receive free or reduced price nutrition benefits. Your school will provide you with an application upon request.
