Utah’s June 2018 employment grew by an estimated 3.3 percent, adding 47,900 jobs to the economy since June 2017. Utah’s current employment level registers 1,591,400. May’s year-over job growth rate was revised downward to 3.1 percent.


June’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged from the prior month at 3.0 percent. Approximately 48,400 Utahns were unemployed during the month and actively seeking work. The national unemployment rate increased two tenths of a percentage point to 4.0 percent. More...





Utah's Employment Summary: May 2018



Utah’s nonfarm payroll employment for May 2018 grew by an estimated 3.5 percent, adding 51,900 jobs to the economy since May 2017. Utah’s current employment level registers 1,516,000. No revision was made to April’s year-over job growth rate.


May’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped one-tenth of a percentage point from the prior month to 3.0 percent. Approximately 48,100 Utahns were unemployed during the month and actively seeking work. The national unemployment rate decreased one tenth of a percentage point to 3.8 percent. More...

Utah’s employment for April 2018 grew by an estimated 3.4 percent, adding 49,400 jobs to the economy since April 2017. Utah’s current employment level registers 1,510,800. No revision was made to March’s year-over job growth rate.


April’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged from the prior month at 3.1 percent. Approximately 48,600 Utahns were unemployed during the month and actively seeking work. The national unemployment rate decreased two-tenths of a percentage point to 3.9 percent. More...
