Holiday Donations to Help Individuals Experiencing Homelessness


The Workforce Development Division and State Workforce Development Board held a Winter Clothing Drive for individuals who are experiencing homelessness throughout the state. Staff collected coats, hats, blankets, scarves, socks and underwear and delivered them to:

  • CAPSA
  • Lantern House
  • Your Community Connection Family Crisis Center
  • Valley Mental Health
  • The Road Home Midvale Family Shelter
  • Catholic Community Services Weigand Homeless Resource Center
  • Volunteers of America Youth Resource Center
  • YWCA Utah
  • Peace House 
  • Food and Care Coalition/Emergency Shelter
  • Center for Women & Children in Crisis
  • New Horizons
  • Switchpoint Emergency Shelter
  • Iron County Care & Share/ Emergency Shelter
  • Uintah County Turning Point
  • Colleen Quigley Women's Shelter 
  • Gentle Ironhawk Shelter

The division also worked with local businesses to help collect more items for the people who would need them. The Procter and Gamble plant, Cache Valley Bank,  RR Donelley, Camp Saver and Campbell Scientific all donated items to the clothing drive. By the end of the drive, thousands of items were donated to help people get the warm clothing they need.
