Utah’s largest community job fair coming to Provo March 13

PROVO (March 5, 2019) - The sixth annual Utah Valley Job Fair, Utah’s largest community job fair, will be held Wednesday, March 13, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo.

Approximately 125 employers are expected to attend, representing the health care, construction, government, education, transportation, military, entertainment and financial industries and more. For a complete list of employers visit utahvalleyjobfair.com.

Utah’s unemployment rate remains one of the lowest in the country at 3.1 percent, but nearly 50,000 Utahns are still actively looking for work.

"With our low unemployment rate, companies are working hard to hire great employees,” said Patrick Donegan, Workforce Development Specialist with the Department of Workforce Services. “We have handpicked high quality Utah companies that are looking to hire right now and provide a wide range of opportunities for young workers, recent grads, experienced professionals and everyone in between."

Attendees are eligible for door prizes if they RSVP on the Facebook event page at facebook.com/UtahValleyJobFair.

The Utah Valley Job Fair is sponsored by the Department of Workforce Services, Brigham Young University, Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, Utah Valley Convention Center, Utah Valley University, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Self-Reliance Services, Mountainland Technical College, Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs, Alpine School District, Provo City School District and Nebo School District.
