Utah Homelessness Data Dashboards
Utah’s Office of Homeless Services is committed to using data to inform policy decisions and improve outcomes for individuals and families experiencing homelessness statewide. This page provides access to three key dashboards that offer detailed, regularly updated information about homelessness across the state.
Annual Data
This dashboard compiles data from three foundational sources: the System Performance Measures (SPM), Housing Inventory Count (HIC), and Point-in-Time Count (PIT). Each source captures different aspects of homelessness in Utah. Together they provide a comprehensive understanding of system capacity, service utilization, and the number of people experiencing homelessness.
Utah Homeless System Outcome
Developed in accordance with Utah State Statute 35A-16-208, this dashboard tracks key performance metrics for the state’s homeless response system. It includes data on exits from homelessness, progress toward functional zero, and outcomes for priority populations such as families, veterans, and youth. Daily Bed Availability
This dashboard provides near-real-time information about the availability of shelter beds at participating facilities. Shelters update this tool throughout the day to reflect current capacity. It is designed to support providers, partners, and decision-makers with timely data related to nightly and Code Blue shelter operations.
These dashboards are intended to increase transparency, guide resource allocation, and support ongoing efforts to make homelessness rare, brief and nonrecurring; that all people experiencing homelessness can thrive to their fullest potential; and that our communities are stable and safe for everyone.
