Utah Interpreter Program

The Utah Interpreter Program is mandated by law to perform interpreter evaluations for the State of Utah. Interpreter certification is required in Utah for an individual to work as an interpreter. For more information, visit the Utah Interpreter Program website.

Interpreter Certification Advancement Network (ICAN)

ICAN is funded by a grant from the Public Service Commission of Utah. The purpose of this program is to increase the quantity and quality of certified interpreters in the State of Utah. A limited number of applicants are accepted each year with the goal of helping them identify and improve knowledge of interpreting, Deaf culture, various formal and informal communication registers, and become highly skilled interpreters.
