$55 Million Allotted to Address the Needs of Utahns Experiencing Homelessness



In April 2022, SB238 was signed by Gov. Cox and Lt. Gov. Henderson. This $55 million housing bill addresses homelessness, affordable housing, and wraparound services. Gov. Cox Declares Community Development Week in Utah

Gov. Spencer Cox has declared the second week in April as Community Development Week in the state of Utah.

The proclamation recognizes the importance of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which is among the few flexible sources of federal funds that remain available to local governments for community development. National Apprenticeship Week 2021 a Success

Gov. Spencer Cox declared Nov. 15-20, 2021 National Apprenticeship Week in Utah. The declaration stated, “Registered Apprenticeship is a time-tested and proven method of ensuring that the demand of skilled workers can be met in Utah and nationally.” In a meeting with Melisa Stark, Commissioner of Apprenticeship programs, and members of the Apprenticeship Utah Network, Cox expressed the importance of increasing apprenticeship opportunities in our state as another pathway to career success.
