In his Utah Home plan, Gov. Cox recognizes Utahns as some of the most generous, innovative, and hard-working individuals in the world. The plan emphasizes the importance of investing in Utah's people and expanding opportunities for them, particularly in supporting vulnerable families. It says, “We must invest in future generations and ensure opportunity for all.”

As an employer, you invest in Utah’s people by providing opportunities for individuals to find gainful employment and contribute to the world of work while developing careers. You are a large part of the success of Utah’s people and their future.

Gov. Cox has invited us to consider what more we can do to support the priorities outlined in the Utah Home Plan. By doing this, we can reflect on our current initiatives and explore ways to enhance our support for Utah's people.

Child Care

Provide support for families so children have better opportunities for success.

The Office of Child Care is using COVID-19 relief funding to assist employers in developing child care options for their employees. Employer Child Care Startup grants encourage and enable businesses to create and develop on-site or near-site child care centers, or partner with child care providers to increase available slots for their employees’ children. This is a time limited program and employers are encouraged to quickly reach out to the Children’s Service Society while funding is available.
