Update on extending Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation- The President just signed CARES act extension legislation on 12/27/20. The new legislation made several changes to Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) and Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (PUA) that requires US Department of Labor (USDOL) instruction which we are waiting to receive in order to make the necessary programming changes. There is no need to call at this time, we will be posting updates online as they are made available to us and we will be affording any applicable benefits to you as it is spelled out in the new legislation.

Seasonal Deferrals are available beginning 11/01/2020 and ending 4/03/2021.

Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation- If your benefits have exhausted or your benefit year has expired, you will need to select “File New or Reopen Claim” to complete a claims application. The system will determine if you are eligible for an extension or a traditional Unemployment Insurance claim.

Pandemic Unemployment Assistance- This is a temporary federal program for individuals not eligible for traditional unemployment benefits. Some individuals who may be eligible include those who are self-employed or gig economy workers. See the CARES Act FAQ for other examples. If you have an employer and have been laid off or have had your hours reduced due to COVID-19, please apply for traditional unemployment benefits.
