Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation- Congress has extended the The Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation program (PEUC) through 09/04/21. If your benefits have exhausted or your benefit year has expired, you will need to select “File New or Reopen Claim” to complete a claims application. The system will determine if you are eligible for an extension or a traditional Unemployment Insurance claim. For additional information, please see the PEUC FAQ.
Pandemic Unemployment Assistance- This is a temporary federal program for individuals not eligible for traditional unemployment benefits. Some individuals who may be eligible include those who are self-employed or gig economy workers. See the CARES Act FAQ for other examples. If you have an employer and have been laid off or have had your hours reduced due to COVID-19, please apply for traditional unemployment benefits.
