Youth Committee

Utah's Youth Committee provides information and assists with planning, operational, and other issues relating to serving youth. The committee includes employers and community-based organizations with a demonstrated records of success in service-eligible youth.

Services to Individuals with Disabilities Committee

The Services to Individuals with Disabilities Committee provides information and assists with operational and other issues relating to serving individuals with disabilities. The population of individuals with disabilities is broad, including all spectrums of physical and mental disabilities and specific populations like veterans. This includes providing programmatic and physical access to the services, programs and activities of the one-stop delivery system, and appropriate staff training to provide support, accommodations, and help finding employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Career Pathways Committee

The Career Pathways Committee is comprised of education, community organizations, employers and workforce organizations. This committee meets with partners from around the state and gathers information and ideas on how these groups can align, share resources and collaborate. The committee makes recommendations that include the Six Key Elements of the Career Pathways Toolkit (published by the Department of Labor) and support Utah’s sector strategies that are aligned with Governor's Office of Economic industry clusters.

Apprenticeships Committee

The Apprenticeships Committee expands career pathways by partnering with educational institutions to create and promote the expansion of pre-apprenticeship opportunities and to enhance awareness. The committee recruits and supports employers in efforts to become certified apprenticeship sponsors while coordinating and aligning existing career and technical education efforts within the state.

Operations Committee

The Operations Committee supports Utah's Combined Plan’s goal of utilizing strategies to align the core programs, one-stop partners and other resources to achieve fully integrated customer services. The committee develops workforce activities to address gaps identified in the state’s workforce analysis and establishes collaborative performance goals. Their work includes certifying one-stop centers, sharing information/data, and resolving systematic problems. Additionally, the committee collaborates and coordinates on training, and marketing efforts by leveraging existing workgroups and aligning resources when appropriate.
