Utahns with Disabilities

Slightly more than 9 percent of Utah's population reports a serious disability. Not surprisingly, the older the age group, the higher the share of persons with a disability. In addition, those with a disability are less likely to be employed, more likely to earn lower wages and generally show a higher percentage of incomes below the poverty line than their peers.
