OHS Homelessness Infectious Disease Reduction Assistance – TriCounty and Southeast RFGA DWS-OHS is requesting grant applications in the TriCounty and Southeast Health Districts for projects that provide services to homeless persons such as monitoring infectious disease spread, testing for infectious disease, and quarantining positive cases who are within homeless service sites or encampments located in a specific health district, as specified by the Utah State Department of Health and Human Services. OHS HOME-American Rescue Plan (ARP) Supportive Services HOME-ARP funds will provide a broad range of supportive services to individuals and families that meet one of the qualifying populations as defined in CPD Notice. There are three categories specifically included as supportive services under HOME-ARP: McKinney-Vento Supportive Services, Homelessness Prevention Services, and Housing Counseling Services. These may include services such as: Costs of assisting eligible program participants to locate, obtain, and retain housing; Rental application fees; Security deposits; Utility deposits; Payment of rental arrears. OHS HOME-American Rescue Plan (ARP) Shelter Acquisition HOME-ARP funds will be used to acquire and develop non-congregate shelter (HOME-ARP NCS) for individuals and families that meet one of the Qualifying Populations defined in the CPD Notice. NCS provides private units or rooms as temporary shelter to individuals and families and does not require occupants to sign a lease or occupancy agreement. This activity may include the construction of new structures or the acquisition and/or rehabilitation or existing structures (such as motels, nursing homes, or other facilities). OHS HOME-American Rescue Plan (ARP) Affordable Housing Development HOME-ARP funds will be used to acquire, construct, and rehabilitate rental housing for occupancy by individuals and families that meet one of the Qualifying Populations defined in CPD notice. HOME-ARP rental housing may include single family or multifamily housing, transitional or permanent housing, group homes, single room occupancy (SRO) units, and manufactured housing. Funds will also be used to provide supportive services to tenants in the housing units whose construction was funded by this grant.
