Benefit Assistance Fraud
Client Fraud
- Fraud, waste, and abuse related to individuals receiving SNAP Benefits (Food Stamps), Child Care, Medical, or Financial Assistance
- Failure to report income or assets properly
- Failure to report the another parent in the home
- Receiving benefits for individuals that do not live in the home
- Selling or trading SNAP benefits
- Applying for and receiving benefits in more than (1) state at the same time
- Any other suspected violations of program requirements or benefit use

Unemployment Insurance
Claimant Fraud
- Failure to report hours and earnings
- Failure to be able and available for work
- Failure to actively seek work
- Identity Theft
Employer Fraud
- Mis-classification of workers
- Incorrectly reporting wages
- Providing false information
- Failure to pay Unemployment Insurance taxes, report necessary information, or prohibit inspection from the Department

- Report fraud, waste, or abuse within the Department of Workforce Services
- Assistance fraud related to the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation or Housing and Community Development Division
- Waste or misuse of public funds, property, or manpower
- Violations of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, contracts or grant agreements
- Gross mismanagement
- Unethical conduct
- Abuse of authority - Abuse includes misuse of authority or position for personal financial interests or those of an immediate or close family member
