Vision Statement
Approved by the Advisory Council on June 5, 2013.

The vision of DSBVI is to become the nation’s leading center for empowering blind and visually impaired adults to help them achieve the highest levels of employment, standard of living, and quality of life. We believe our purpose is to encourage, mentor, and train blind individuals to become independent, confident, and competent. We can achieve the nation’s highest level of quality employment for blind individuals. We can create, develop, and implement outstanding educational and training methods that are recognized nationally. Our vision includes creating an atmosphere of friendliness, cooperation, and success that draws an increasing number of blind and visually impaired adults to our center.
