The State of Utah is celebrating the impact of the Community Development Block Grant Program and HOME Investment Partnerships Program this week for National Community Development Week.
Since 2016, The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program has provided grants for 194 projects to support the needs of low and moderate income individuals like the Tooele County Children’s Justice Center.
The HOME Investment Partnerships Program provides formula grants – often in partnership with local nonprofit groups – to fund affordable housing development and to provide direct rental assistance to low-income people. From 2016 - 2020, the State of Utah has completed 38 multifamily projects, adding 3,767 total housing units, and 53 single-family projects.
