State Pamela Atkinson Homeless Account
The Pamela Atkinson Homeless Account was created with the goal of making homelessness in Utah rare, brief, and non-recurring. Funding from the account is awarded in conjunction with other funds overseen by the Utah Homeless Council (UHC) and is leveraged with other State and Federal resources to increase the impact of homeless service providers throughout the State. Funding is specifically awarded to organizations to provide services to those in Utah experiencing homelessness. No more than 80% of these funds can be awarded to organizations that provide services only in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, and Utah Counties.
Pamela Atkinson Homeless Trust Fund supports nonprofit organizations across Utah that provide vital services and assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. An annual tax campaign takes place to encourage Utah citizens to donate to the fund. In a fiscal year, no more than 80% of the Pamela Atkinson Homeless Account may be allocated to organizations that provide services only in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, and Utah Counties (https://jobs.utah.gov/htf).
The State Pamela Atkinson Homeless Account is administered by the Utah Department of Workforce Services, in partnership with the Utah Tax Commission, under the direction of the Utah State Legislature. Questions regarding the RFP process or funding can be directed to OHSprograms@utah.gov.
