Fraud/Scam Alert:
The Utah department of workforce Services (DWS) will not ask for personal information by text, phone, or e-mail for any state or federal program administered by the department. DWS will not send links for commercial products nor will DWS use links or web pages from any social media platforms (facebook, instagram, etc.) for official business. Specific program eligibility determination pathways have been put in place to protect customer information.
State Community Services Office
The State Community Services Office provides guidance, oversight, and funding to help communities assist people to become more self-sufficient socially, physically, culturally and economically by reducing poverty and improving the quality of life for low-income Utahns.
Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) Program

Weatherization Assistance Program
Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) helps low-income individuals and families reduce energy costs and increase comfort and safety in their homes. Individuals, families, the elderly and the disabled who are no more than 200 percent of the current federal poverty income level are eligible for help from the Weatherization Assistance Program. However, priority is given to the elderly and disabled, households with high-energy consumption, emergency situations, and homes with preschool-age children.
