Homelessness Programs
2020 Virtual Homeless Summit
This year's event will take place virtually via Zoom on Thursday, October 15th and Friday, October 16th 2020. We encourage you to take full advantage of our homelessness leaders who are presenting this year. Our speakers will inspire and encourage your efforts in: using the housing first model, strengthening your understanding of supportive services, and enhancing your knowledge of workable solutions in coordinating resources. Homelessness Data Dashboard
The Homelessness Data Dashboard provides up-to-date numbers for the utilization of homeless services around the state. The data comes from the Utah Homeless Information Management System. Learn More
State Homeless Coordinating Committee
The State Homeless Coordinating Committee provides oversight and approves allocations of funding for providers of homeless services. The committee ensures that services provided to the homeless are utilized in a cost-effective manner and works to facilitate a better understanding of homelessness. Programs are devoted to emergency housing, self- sufficiency, placement in employment or occupational training activities, special services to meet unique needs of the homeless with mental illness and those who are part of families with children. Contracts are awarded to providers based on need, diversity of geographic location, coordination with or enhancement of existing services, and the use of volunteers. Learn More
Pamela Atkinson Homeless Trust Fund
The trust fund supports nonprofit organizations across Utah that provide vital services and assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. You can support these services through a donation on your Utah state tax form or online. Learn More
Housing Opportunities for People with Aids
The Housing Opportunities for Persons With Aids (HOPWA) program was established to provide housing assistance and related supportive services for low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families. Learn More
